TICKETS have gone on sale for one of Hampshire’s most popular Christmas attractions.

Running from November 20 to early January, the annual Christmas ice rink, which has been running for more than a decade, will be returning to WinchesterCathedral this year as part of the city’s festive celebrations.

Last year 56,000 people took to the ice at the cathedral following the installation of a roof, allowing families can enjoy a rain-free skate.

In previous years the state of rink had left people furious with mild temperatures and rain melting the ice, which the roof aimed to prevent.

The Christmas market has been rated as one of the best both nationally and internationally on several occasions.

Admission to the market is free and tickets are priced at £11.50 with concessions and packages available from Winchester Cathedral Box Office on 01962 857275 and online at www.winchester0cathedral.org.uk
