A SMALLHOLDER at loggerheads with his neighbours and Winchester City Council has been ordered to leave his land.
Robert Memory has been lived on a plot on Alresford Drove, South Wonston, without planning permission, defying a council order to vacate the land.
The council took the case to Basingstoke Magistrates Court citing a breach of an enforcement notice.
Memory was convicted and given an absolute discharge but ordered to pay £50 costs.
A council spokeswoman said: "He was told he must leave the site without delay. We expect him to stop living on the site or we will prosecute him again."
Mr Memory made news when four rheas, large South American flightless birds, escaped from his smallholding in 2015.
