FIVE Syrian refugee families have settled in Winchester.
As reported, Winchester City Council is doing its bit to help Syrian refugees who have fled the war-torn country.
Council leader Caroline Horrill said that the families are not staying in council accommodation.
Cllr Horrill said: “We have not had to use our own homes to do that, the church community has given us houses to accommodate the Syrian families.”
