HUNDREDS of people took part in the annual Palm Sunday procession in Winchester.
The event marks the day that Jesus Christ entered Jerusalem on the back of a donkey, before his execution on Good Friday.
The procession, including a donkey and a brass band, started from the Great Hall before amid sunshine wending its way down the High Street and Market Street to the cathedral.
It included the Dean of Winchester, the Very Rev Catherine Ogle, and representing the city council, the mayor, Cllr Jane Rutter.
