THE Hyde Tavern is hosting a gig by a singer-songwriter from Texas on Monday March 6.
The pub dates back to the Middle Ages but it is unlikely ever to have hosted anything quite like this.
Giulia Millanta is from Austin, home for the famed SXSW Festival.
On the same bill is one-man punk band Hamell on Trial.
She released in the autumn her fifth solo album Moonbeam Parade, 13 new self-penned tunes fuelled by a new direction on electric guitar.
The Aquarian Weekly newspaper describes Guilia as “a deeply evocative singer with a dash of Piaf, a sprinkle of Lady Day, a pinch of Norah Jones and a teaspoon of Madeleine Peroux.”
Tickets are £8 and the numbers are limited. This is the ticket link https://www.wegottickets.com/event/390223 Giulia is also a fine cook of Italian food and is available for bookings, for an evening of food, stories and songs.
