A man has died after being hit by a train, causing delays in Hampshire.
The incident happened just after 2pm at Portchester Station, between Fareham and Portsmouth.
A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Officers were alerted and attended alongside paramedics from the South Central Ambulance Service. Work is now underway to identify the man and inform his family.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
Passengers are being warned that cancellations or delays of up to an hour are expected until 7pm.
A resident next to the station said: “All of this was here when I got home, I've literally just seen it.
“It has happened before and it’s always horrible to see.
