FIREFIGHTERS were called to a block of flats in Winchester.
However residents should not be worried as they were not putting out a blaze, but instead were carrying out training at a eight-storey block of flats in the city.
A crew was at Braxton House (pictured above on Google Maps) in Winnall this afternoon, from 2pm to 3.30pm, where they were checking access with an aerial ladder platform.
Firefighter Chris Hutchings told the Chronicle: “It was just access training to make sure the aerial ladder platform could reach everything, it was very useful we managed to get the aerial ladder platform up and it could reach four floors with a bit to spare.”
