TWO people including a five-year-old boy are fighting for life after a crash in a Hampshire village.
Emergency services were called to an incident around 6pm last night in Otterbourne Road, Shawford, just north of Eastleigh.
The road was been closed in both directions following a serious accident involving two cars.
All three Emergency services attended the scene, Hampshire Fire and Rescue crews coming from Eastleigh and Winchester.
A Hampshire Police spokesman said: "We are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision involving two vehicles on Otterbourne Road in Shawford near Winchester.
"A 52-year-old woman and 5-year-old boy have both been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries."
A Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “We were called to a two-vehicle collision and three people are being treated by South Central Ambulance Service.
"Fire crews made the scene safe and have left the incident in the hands of the police."
