A TEENAGER had his finger impaled by “running” his hand through a fence in Hampshire.
The 13-year-old was in pain after his hand suffered the grim injury at Winchester Train Station on Saturday evening.
One crew and a fire engine were called to help the teenager, who had become “stuck” on the fencing to the rear car park of the station.
A spokesperson for Winchester Fire Station said: “We had a call last night for a removal of a person from a fence at Winchester Train Station.
“We cut the fence away and the teenager’s family then took him to hospital because the piece of fence had impaled through his finger.”
The teenager had suffered the injury by running his hand through the fence, but apparently remained calm despite being in agonising pain.
The spokesperson for Winchester Fire Station added: “It is very unlucky to have caught it that way - he was very calm and just very shocked.”
The incident happened at around 6.30pm.
