AFTER the storming success of last year's first Woolly Hat Fair, the festival is back in December with a new seasonal event.

The team behind 2015's Live Advent Calendar will create a citywide version of The Twelve Days of Christmas, all in characteristic Hat Fair style.

Twelve events will be staged throughout December, each in a different location and each inspired by one of the 'days' of Christmas.

Michelle Walker, artistic director of Hat Fair, said: “Day One will be based on a partridge in a pear tree, Day Two will be inspired by two turtle doves, all the way through to the glorious finale of twelve drummers drumming!”

Events at Woolly Hat Fair will be free to attend and will take place at 5pm on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays between December 3-22.

Woolly Hat Fair is organized by Hat Fair, the UK’s longest running outdoor arts festival, which takes place annually in Winchester during the first weekend in July.

Full details of the locations and performers involved are yet to be revealed but Hat Fair promises dancers, choirs, theatrical treats and plenty of festive mayhem for everyone.

Full details of the Twelve Days Of Christmas events will be available on hatfair.co.uk.
