THE inauguration ceremony for the new Dean of Winchester Cathedral is to take place on February 11.
The news was confirmed last Friday (September 23) by the cathedral that the Very Rev Catherine Ogle will be installed as the 38th Dean in a service at 3pm.
This comes just three weeks after a ceremony in the city's famous building following the announcement of her appointment by Downing Street.
Catherine is the current Dean of Birmingham, a position she has held for six years.
She succeeds the Very Rev James Atwell, who retired in June. Dean Catherine, who will move to Winchester in the New Year with her husband Robin and son Tom, remains Dean of Birmingham until early in January.
Information about tickets to attend the service will be announced in the coming weeks.
