THERE's the final chance to enjoy one of the finest gardens in the Alresford area this Sunday.
Meon Valley MP George Hollingbery and his wife Janette are opening the riverside grounds of Weir House, Abbotstone Road, Old Alresford, between 2-5pm.
The gardens has sweeping lawns, yew trees and mixed perennial beds and a vegetable garden at its height this month.
The opening is part of the National Gardens Scheme which raises money for charity. The NGS Hampshire Open Garden Scheme last year raised more than £200,000 for cancer and hospice charities.
Children are welcome and there is wheelchair access to most of the garden. Home-made teas.
Admission £5 children free.
Also taking part in the scheme is Jackie Porter, county and city councillor, who opened the garden of Down House in Itchen Abbas a couple of times this summer including last weekend.
