A WEATHER warning has been issued for thunderstorms and torrential rain in Hampshire.
The Met Office says that areas as far south as Winchester could be affected by the change in weather, which it predicts will begin at about 11am.
The warning says: "Heavy showers and thunderstorms will break out during the late morning and afternoon before slowly fading this evening.
"Whilst some places will miss the heaviest showers, where showers do occur they are likely to be prolonged allowing some large amounts of rain to fall.
"Please be aware of the potential for localised flooding and disruption to travel."
