THE Research Group of Hampshire Gardens Trust is presenting an exhibition on Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown in the entrance hall of Hampshire Record Office, Sussex Street, Winchester.

The exhibition, which runs until the end if September, differs from the one held recently in the Discovery Centre, Winchester, as it tells how Brown worked, what he achieved and more importantly identifies and describes the sites associated with him in Hampshire.

Some are well known, such as Broadlands others, such as Paultons, have almost disappeared.

Sally Miller, will launch the exhibition with a lunchtime talk Capability Brown ‘The Man’ , in the cinema at the Record Office, on Thursday June 30, 1.15-1.45 pm.

Free and no booking required.
