BOSSES of a Hampshire social club have announced it will no longer be accepting bookings for 18th birthday parties.

It comes after Twyford Social Club in Queen Street, which has previously had complaints about noise held an 18th birthday party where guests were allegedly noisy and anti-social.

A statement by the club read:"We apologise to those who had previously booked an 18th at the club, and hope you find an alternative venue. We can't stress enough that this decision wasn't taken lightly, and this action was deemed necessary following allegations of excessive noise and anti social behaviour by guests at a recent party, although the party was over by 11 and the steward and adults present had made every effort to minimise disturbance."

Normal parties will still be hosted.
