A WINCHESTER man James Russell has been convicted of attacking his own brother.
James Russell, 20, of Jewry Street, pleaded guilty to assaulting William Russell on May 11, Basingstoke Magistrates Court heard.
Russell also admitted using violence to force entry into a property in Devenish Road, Weeke, and to also failing to surrender to custody at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on May 26.
The bench imposed a community order with Russell having to do 90 hours unpaid work and with a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement.
He must also pay £85 victim surcharge and £10 costs.
There was no order for compensation because it would aggravate the domestic situation, the court was told.
