Local housebuilder Alfred Homes is excited to offer a high-quality alternative for Alresford’s housing future.

The Winchester-based housebuilder is keenly aware of the important decisions currently facing Alresford over its future housing growth. That is why they are pleased to announce details of its proposals for 65 high-quality new homes on land adjacent to Arlebury Park.

This site could see a range of housing provision delivered including open market sale, affordable housing and age restricted housing for the over-55s.

In doing so, the land adjacent to Arlebury Park could aid the town in meeting its housing need and target set out within Winchester City Council’s Local Plan Part 1. It could also help to answer some of the questions posed by the subsequent Local Plan Part 2 (or ‘LPP2’) consultation process.

Gregg Joslin, Managing Director of Alfred Homes said: “If we appreciate anything at Alfred Homes, it is that good design and high-quality materials are essential to creating pleasant places to live. We also appreciate how much of an important step the LPP2 consultation is for shaping Alresford’s housing future.”

A public event has been organised in order to present the potential for high-quality housing delivery that the land adjacent to Arlebury Park offers, and to ensure that local residents are fully informed of the options that are available for Alresford’s housing future, before the LPP2 consultation closes.

This relaxed and family-friendly event will be held at: Meryon Hall, Alresford Community Centre (The Town Hall, 7 West Street, Alresford SO24 9PP) on Thursday 3rd December from 2pm to 8.30pm Gregg continued: “It is really important that the town’s residents are aware of the full range of options available to them, before they submit those all-important views to Winchester City Council. Alfred Homes is pleased to offer one such option and we would welcome local residents to come to our event to learn more about it.”

A purpose-built website has been set up to provide further information on the development options for this site and to allow visitors to leave their feedback. This will be updated throughout the consultation process and is available at www.alfredhomes-alresford.co.uk.
