TWO major market days in Bishop's Waltham High Street have been cancelled.
Sunday's food market and November 29's arts and vintage sale have been scrapped due to a lack of stalls.
The firm which provides traders for the markets only offered around 14 stalls, less than half that needed to justify closing the High Street.
Anna Backhouse, secretary of the town's chamber of trade, said: "The problem is they get offers from other places. If they can't offer us a full high street we're not closing the High Street."
The chamber wants to swap the monthly sales for three or four larger markets per year.
