A WINCHESTER Cathedral service celebrating the rule of law is taking place this weekend.
The High Sheriff of Hampshire, Louisa Portal, will host a colourful Law Sunday ceremony with brass band, choir singing and a procession to give thanks to the justice system.
Hampshire judges and magistrates will attend with the Dean and chapter of Winchester Cathedral from 11am, followed by a drinks reception from noon until 1pm.
All are welcome, and Lady Portal is keen to stress that the law is for everyone.
The preacher, Paul Cowley, is an ex-offender who promises a thought-provoking sermon.
