POLICE are appealing for witnesses after watches and phones worth more than £1,000 were stolen from a Winchester home.

Thieves took two watches  and two iPhones from a house in Chilbolton Avenue between 8.20am and 3.20pm on Tuesday.

The 'Precista' Divers and Smiths watches were both worth around £500.

Anyone on the road that day who may have seen any suspicious activity, or knows anything about the stolen items, is asked to call 101, quoting crime reference number 44150303428.
