NEIGHBOURS have warned that a Crawley couple's plans for a new garage will ruin the village pond.
The Haddons have applied for a two bay oak beam garage at their home in Peach Hill Lane.
But Jeffrey Pickering has urged Winchester City Council to reject the plans, saying it would wreck views of the pond and force him to cut back several trees.
He said: "It constantly receives visitors, artists and photographers from Europe and worldwide throughout all seasons.
"The proposed construction is likely to impact heavily and adversely both on the existing site and the view from the pond."
Mr Pickering suggested that a restrictive covenant on his own home, Yeomans, could block the work.
Another neighbour, Robert Adam, criticised the lack of detail in the Haddons' application.
