WINCHESTER has been getting ready for Wimbledon by practicing their backhands at a pop-up tennis event.
People of all ages gathered at the High Street on Sunday (June 28) to score as many aces as they could as part of an initiative that tries to get families to keep fit.
Winchester City Council joined forces with Places for People Leisure, the Lawn Tennis Association and city-based Osman Tennis to launch the Love Tennis scheme.
Held at River Park Leisure Centre, the Love tennis scheme aims to get people playing year round at the public courts, which are open from 8am-10pm, seven days a week.
