Hospital trust seeking volunteers to help isolated patients
VOLUNTEERS are being sought to offer companionship to the isolated ill as part of a new hospital service.
Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for 'befrienders' to visit the seriously sick at home to help boost their confidence and wellbeing.
Candidates will have an informal interview and successful applicants will be fully trained. The role is subject to references, simple health checks and Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) clearance.
