IT was an evening of bright colours and inspirational designs when Winchester fashion students paraded their work.

Programme leader of fashion and textile design, Cecilia Langemar, said: “The highlight was the really strong, creative collections that we saw from this year’s cohort. The students are very creative and skilled when it comes to coming up with good colour stories and silhouettes that enhance that fashion collection.”

A range of different techniques, such as appliqué and hand-sewing were used for this year’s event.

“It felt really contemporary,” Ms Langemar added, paying particular attention to Odella Yue, who mixed Japanese culture with Studio 54 for her designs.

“It was very cleverly executed,” she said.
