POLICE are stepping up their search to find a man who was last seen leaving a train station near Winchester.

David Wateridge left his home in Ibsley Grove in Havant at 5am yesterday and has not contacted anyone since.

CCTV shows he left Micheldever Railway Station at 7.06am yesterday.

Police said they are becoming increasingly concerned and are currently following up a number of enquiries.

They are also searching in Micheldever assisted by volunteers from Hampshire Search and Rescue.

The 51-year-old is described as white, six foot tall, and of medium build with short grey hair. He was wearing a baseball cap, jeans and a striped black and grey jacket and carrying a black Puma sports bag.
