A POPULAR Stockbridge deli is hosting a food festival to celebrate five years in business.

Iain and Sally Hemming, owners of Thyme and Tides, will open the doors of Stockbridge Town Hall this Saturday for the event which will feature special guests.

They will be joined by BBC’s Nigel Barden and Valentine Warner on a day which will see a range of demonstrations on bread-making, gin, wine and cheese, from Darren Bland of Hoxton Bake House, James Robinson of Spanish food experts Brindisa, Mark Dawson of Langley’s Gin and Tom Badcock of The Cheese Cellar.

Some of the deli’s suppliers will be on site offering a range of wares including Olives et Al, Ballancourt French pates and terrines, Hennart French cheeses, Purbeck Ice cream and ciders, Isle of Wight Tomato Stall and Utta Nutta Peanut Butter.

Mr Hemming said: “What better way to celebrate our fifth birthday than with an event which brings together our loyal customers and trusted suppliers. We really hope our customers will come along and bring their friends and family for what promises to be a fun and tasty day out for the whole family.”

Entrance is free, and tickets for the food demonstrations cost £3.50 for adults for each of the morning and afternoon sessions.

A proportion of all ticket sales will be donated to the Alex Lewis Trust.

Doors open at 10am, until 5pm.
