ACTRESS Dervla Kirwan is set to read stories written by an Alresford children’s author at this Sunday’s Meon Springs Country Experience day.
Mum-of-three Anya Faulkner is launching Reggie Rocks, the third of her Roberts Farm Adventures stories at the event. Dervla will be doing her book reading at 2pm, in a yurt in front of the white farmhouse.
All of Anya’s self-published books are illustrated by close friend Alison Butler and chart the adventures of animals such as Charlie Pig, Tom the cat and Captain Rabbit.
She says she’s not afraid of tackling difficult subjects, which she hopes will help children grow up to become caring, responsible adults.
“Reggie Rocks is all about a friendly rat call Reggie who is desperate to make friends with the other animals but there is one big problem – he stinks!,” said Anya, who lives in the hamlet of Woodlands.
“Fortunately, with the help of Marge and her brood of bonkers chickens at the Funky Feathers Salon, help is at hand!”
