BUDDING Winchester chefs will be catering at a fundraising afternoon tea in the grounds of the Cathedral.
Exclusive Chefs’ Academy, part-based at Lainston House, will be raising money for Naomi House and Jacksplace at the Refectory Garden marquee on Wednesday, April 29, at 2pm.
Glasses of Nyetimber sparkling wine will be handed out before guests are seated at 2.30pm for sandwiches and cakes and bottomless cups of Twinings tea.
The event forms part of the pastry module for the chefs’ two-year development programme, devised by Exclusive’s executive chef Andy MacKenzie.
Chief operating officer of Naomi House and the Dean of Winchester Cathedral will speak at the event and there will also be a fundraising raffle. Prizes include preview tickets to the Flower Festival at Winchester Cathedral and goodies from the Exclusive Hotels and Venues Group.
Tickets are £25 per person plus a small booking charge.
