Firefighters rescue woman trapped in bathroom
ALRESFORD firefighters rescued a woman trapped in her bathroom for two hours.
The 53-year-old woman could not get out of her en-suite bathroom because of a faulty door handle at her home in Petersfield Road, Cheriton.
Her 17-year-old daughter tried to free her before they called in the fire service who took about 20 minutes to open the door.
The woman, who asked not to be named, declined to comment.
A crew from Alresford attended and removed the handle at about 5.30pm yesterday.
