A CHARITY that supports people with learning disabilities held a drop-in session with one of the patrons of its forthcoming fundraising exhibition.

Winchester Go LD, formally known as Mencap, held the weekly ‘Funky Lunch’ in the Discovery Centre, but recently with a visit from Lady Portal.

She chatted to members who brought packed lunches and met with their friends.

Lady Portal is one of the three patrons of the art exhibition, Changing Perspectives, which will be held in the university’s Link Gallery on March 14-15.

It features work from more than 60 Wessex artists, which have been donated and will be sold to the public to raise funds for the charity.

Signed limited edition prints from Tracey Emin and Diana Armfield are included, and donations have been flooding in.

Prices are expected to range from £150 to £3,000 plus.

Changing Perspectives is at the Link Gallery and the adjoining Shakespeare Room from 10am-7pm on Saturday, March 14, and Sunday, March 15, from 10am-4pm.
