Break-ins and burglaries hit Winchester
WINCHESTER has been hit by a string of burglaries and attempted break-ins over the past fortnight.
Fishing equipment was stolen from a garage in Olivers Battery Road South between 6pm on Tuesday, January 27 and 6.30am the following morning.
On the same night thieves broke into a garage in Fairfax Close.
Criminals smashed a storage container lock in Romsey Road overnight on January 23-24.
Police declined to comment when asked whether the incidents may have been connected.
Investigations are complete on the Romsey Road and Olivers Battery incidents but anybody with information is urged to contact North Walls police station. PC Josh Beckerleg of Basingstoke police station is investigating the Fairfax Close incident.
