Banish the darkness and step into the light with Mottisfont’s first exhibition of its 2015 season.

This exhibition introduces an international selection of accomplished artists who create photographic works that focus on the effects of light.

2. Lest We Forget – Saturday and Sunday

Portsmouth Museum hosts this special exhibition 100 years on from the First World War so look at servicemen and women, as well as civilians supporting the war effort at home.

Exhibition closes January 25 and admission is free.

3. Bargate Market – Friday and Saturday

Over 50 continental and local produce on offer selling fruit and veg, meat, baked goods and fair-trade produce.

9am-5pm on Friday and 10am-4.30pm on Saturday.

4. Vintage, antique, collectors and craft fair at Chawton – Sunday

Chawton Village Hall welcomes around 30 stallholders offering a variety of collectable books, china, antique rugs and carpets, quirky curios, clocks, vintage clothing and hats, hand sewn and knitted items as well as jams and other conserves.

Doors open from 10am-3.30p.m. Entry is £1 per adult and parking is free.

5. Dick Whittington at the Plaza, Romsey – Saturday and Sunday

This fun, child-friendly and comical pantomime will have your roaring in the aisles as Dick tells his story as he leaves home to make his fortune in London.

6. Aladdin at the Point, Eastleigh – Friday to Sunday

Westfield Productions return with their latest family pantomime seeing Aladdin on his quest to meet the Princess while helping Widow Twankee in the laundry room.

Tickets cost between £7.50-£9. Suitable for children aged four and over.
