FRENCH travellers who lived in a Winchester car park for over a week have left the city.
The family of 22 moved six caravans onto Cattle Market car park last Monday.
A Winchester City Council spokesman said the group had “problems with some of its vehicles” and was given until yesterday afternoon to leave the car park.
Porardo Gorjan, one of the travellers, this week told the Hampshire Chronicle that he was “sad” to be removed.
The family is expected to return home to a small town in eastern France.
