AN inquest has opened after a woman died in a road traffic collision near Winchester.
Marie Heather Hardes, 56, died on the M3 on November 10 as a result of a smash on the northbound carriageway at junction nine.
It is believed she was killed when she was struck by a car after she stepped out of the Honda Accord she was travelling in.
Miss Hardes, from Poole, was travelling from Maidstone in Kent.
Her family have released a photo but said they do not wish to comment.
The inquest has been adjourned to a date to be fixed.
