A SERIES of talks on historic Winchester led by eminent archaeologist Martin Biddle has sold out.
Winchester Excavations Committee are staging the fund-raising event at the Guildhall on December 4.
Prof Biddle, who led the digs in the city centre in the 1960s and 70s, will talk on the search for the Old and New Minister next to the cathedral.
Dr John Crook, consultant archaeologist at the cathedral, will speak on the former west front of the cathedral.
Prof Barbara Yorke will speak on the New Minster and the royal burials there.
