A WINCHESTER pre-school has been given an ‘outstanding’ rating in a recent Ofsted report.
It is almost five years since All Saints Pre-school in Highcliffe was last inspected and the new report has found that the children have an “exceptionally good” daily experience.
Pre-school's committee chair and parent Emma Kocher said: “Our manager Juliet and the staff have worked so hard, steadily improving standards over the last few years and now our pre-school really is a fantastic Early Years Setting.
“For All Saints Preschool to be awarded this ‘outstanding’ rating is testimony to all their amazing efforts.
“The children just love coming here.”
Ofsted inspector Helen Robinshaw said: “Every child has a person who is special to them, and knows them well.
“They identify the children's next stage in learning and share this across the team when they plan activities ahead.
“Staff work as a co-ordinated team, capturing everyday events and creating them into rich learning experiences for children,” she added.
“They gain confidence as they investigate and meet new challenges. Many children make exceptional levels of progress from their starting points.
“Staff prepare children exceptionally well for change and guide parents and children towards school readiness.”
