THE Naomi House and Jacksplace ‘Light up a Life’ service returns to Winchester Cathedral for its third year running.

The service, at 2.30pm on Friday (November 21), will offer members of the public the opportunity to remember and celebrate the life of somebody who cannot be with them at Christmas.

Featuring music, personal stories and readings, it is one of the most important services in the charity’s calendar and always attracts hundreds of people.

Naomi House and Jacksplace provide respite, emergency and end of life care to many children and young people across the central south of England.

Keith Wilson, senior communications officer at the charity, said: “Our Christmas ‘Light up a Life’ services are a great way to remember and celebrate the life of a loved one or friend and we are privileged to be holding our service at Winchester Cathedral.

"We all have people that we wish were still with us at Christmas, and taking a moment to get together and reflect on the wonderful moments we have spent with special people can be a really positive thing to do.”
