A WELL-KNOWN former Cheriton pub landlady has died, aged 95.
A service of thanksgiving for Patricia Bartlett will be held at St Michael’s and All Angels church in Cheriton on Monday September 22 at noon.
With husband John she took over the Flower Pots pub in 1968 initially on a 12-month tenancy and carried on in 1982 after his death.
In 1990 Mrs Bartlett, her daughter Jo and son in law Paul Tickner bought the pub from Whitbread and have developed it into one of the most popular pubs in the county with its own brewhouse.
