POLICE are appealing for information following a break-in at a communal car park in Bishop’s Waltham.

The offenders reversed a vehicle into the car park, at Rolleston Flats in Winchester Road, and attempted to pull the garage door away from its frame using a rope.

Nothing was stolen but there was considerable damage to the garage doors.

It happened just before 11pm on Sunday, September 14.

PC Jonathon Earnshaw, of Bishop’s Waltham Police Station, said: “Fortunately the offenders left empty handed, but extensive damage was caused to the garage door.

“It is believed three offenders wearing dark coloured clothing were involved, and that they were driving a dark coloured executive vehicle, with the number plate covered up.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC Earnshaw by calling 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, where information can be left anonymously.
