THIS year's Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust AGM will take place on Tuesday, September 9.

The meeting will be heard at the Ark Conference Centre at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital from 5.30pm with an hour-long interactive exhibition. Staff will present plans for new menus as well as give information about women's health, cancer services and life at a Hampshire Hospital. There will also be the chance to experience one of the new reminiscence pods designed to care for patients with dementia.

The review of the year 2013/4 kicks off at 6.45pm and includes an update on the Trust's plans to centralise care and create sustainable services.

A series of county-wide road shows have been organised following the meeting.

On Tuesday, September 23, members of the Trust will visit Alton Maltings Centre from 6.30pm and then Winchester's Guildhall on Tuesday, September 30, from 6.30pm.

Members will also visit Eastleigh on Tuesday, October 14, from 6.30pm at the Fleming Park Leisure Centre and then Andover, at the Lights, on Tuesday, October 21, from 6.30pm.

Hampshire Hospitals chief executive, Mary Edwards, said: “With patient care at the heart of all we do, our aim is to offer services and care as close to peoples' homes as possible, and to centralise where necessary for patient safety. I am really looking forward to sharing how we have achieved this and other developments over the past year and to spending some time discussing our future plans.

“If you are able to attend the AGM I know you will also find the exhibition that our staff give up their time to produce very informative and interesting. If you can't make the AGM we look forward to seeing you when we come to your area in September or October.”
