ASANTE Coffee shop in Chandler’s Ford is opening specially on Sunday August 24 to raise funds for charity.
The shop, on Winchester Road, will open between 10.30am to 3.30pm with proceeds going to Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Shirley Barter, proprietor, said “We do hope our customers will support this event. We will be serving our usual menu and, of course tea and delicious cakes.”
Ray Fishman, from the Eastleigh and Chandler’s Ford Fundraising Group for Marie Curie Cancer Care, said “We are delighted that Asante are supporting the work of the Marie Curie nurses. The money raised will help to provide qualified nurses, totally free, to give people with cancer and other terminal illnesses the choice of dying at home, supported by their families.”
Asante's profits usually go to helping communities in Kenya.
