BARTON Stacey Chamber Choir is beginning rehearsals for its most ambitious concert yet – and is on the look-out for new singers.

The 25-strong group was set up three years ago as an open-entry adult ensemble to perform a broad range of music.

Since then musical director Kate Chapman has coached her singers through a successful string of concerts for which the repertoire has ranged from “The Hallelujah Chorus” to “The Sound of Silence”.

Now the choir is set to perform the Vivaldi “Gloria” and Handel Coronation anthems at Barton Stacey Church on November 1.

Anyone interested in joining should call Terry Moffat on 07450 277911, contact the choir through their website www.bartonstaceychamberchoir.org or just turn up at the church on a Monday evening at 7.30pm.
