THREE new council houses will be completed in Otterbourne by August 12.
The three-bedroom houses at Bourne Close are owned and managed by Winchester City Council and will be let to people on the waiting list.
They follow the completion in July of Baxter Cottages in Station Close, Itchen Abbas, which were the first new council-built houses in the Winchester district for a decade.
The Bourne Close houses are on a former council garage block.
Cllr Steve Miller, city council portfolio holder for business services which includes new homes delivery, said: “These three affordable homes in Otterbourne add to the five completed recently in Itchen Abbas and together contribute to 160 planned over the next five years.
“The project demonstrates our commitment to provide much-needed homes for those in housing need.”
