A WINCHESTER hairdresser to the stars is celebrating 40 years in the city.
Guy Kremer, who owns the self-named salon off Parchment Street, held a celebratory event last weekend at the Greyhound pub in Stockbridge.
Now, 40 years since it all began, the Frenchman has toasted his success, with a speech from Trevor Sorbie, and everyone from footballers to designers in attendance.
Mr Kremer said: “It was wonderful, it’s a milestone to celebrate 40 years and have all my friends and people from the industry there.”
The business has branched out overseas, with seven salons and ten spas called the Guy Kremer Eyecatcher group launched in India in just nine months.
He is also known for his extensive charity work, and snipping the locks of Ruby Wax, Maria Grachvogel, Graeme Souness and Roger Waters.
