A CHILDREN’S hospice near Winchester has announced plans to host a special recruitment day for anyone interested working as a nurse for the charity.
Naomi House and Jacksplace at Sutton Scotney will host the event on Friday (July 18) from 10am-7pm.
The hospice’s clinical team hopes it will provide a good opportunity to meet with qualified nurses looking to work in a unique environment specialising in caring for terminally-ill children.
Lindsay Jones has been working with the charity for a year.
She said: “Working at Naomi House and Jacksplace is very different to working in a hospital. I get to know the children and families and this is what I love about the role. You can look past the medical side of things and see the children for who they are. It’s such a special place.”
June Morton, drector of HR for the hospices added: “Everyone working at Naomi House is here for the same reason – to make a real difference to the children and families we care for. It’s a true team. Across the trust we have 150 staff and 800 volunteers who are proud to belong to an organisation that makes a real difference.”
