AN Eastleigh college is set to exhibit the works of its diploma students including one Southampton artist who has been showcased at the Royal Academy.

Kurt Buckley, 19, from Hedge End, whose illustrations were selected for the current One Show art exhibition, will be among several pieces displayed at Barton Peveril.

The college is hosting a final show of the works of the art and design foundation students on Monday (July 7).

This is the second year the college has offered the post-A level foundation diploma course and this year’s show features work from over 60 students across a range of the different courses including fine art, fashion and textiles, graphic design and photography.

Approximately one quarter of this year’s pupils have secured places at numerous art institutions including the London College of Fashion, Central St Martin’s, Camberwell College of Arts, Chelsea College and Art and Goldsmiths.
