WINCHESTER Rugby Football Club has signed a new sponsorship deal with a Romsey office supplier.

Allied Office Machines, based in the Belbins Business Park, has signed a three year sponsorship with Winchester RFC in a bid to continue the club’s success following its promotion at the end of the 2012/13 season.

Ben Welch, sponsorship manager of Winchester RFC, said: “This season has been a great success for the club. The 1st XV and 2nd XV consolidated their positions in the league following promotion and we ran at least twoother senior teams most weekends as well. Our colts, minis and juniors won tournaments, topped leagues and produced players who won county and national honours.

“Winchester RFC is at the heart of rugby in the county with lots of administrational tasks, including printing our own match day and tournament programmes. The new printers and copiers from Allied Office Machines are going to make life a great deal easier for us and we thank them for their support.”

Steve Richmond, Allied Office Machines’ regional sales manager, said: “Winchester RFC approached us for a competitive bid to supply them with equipment to produce their new material “As Winchester is a strong market for us, and also because me and a couple of the team here at Allied are rugby fans, we were given permission to offer the equipment to the club free of charge in exchange for a three-year sponsorship deal.”
