A GROUP of Winchester daredevils have raised almost £3,000 for charity.
Four members of the Winnall Social Club, and the bar manager, completed a parachute jump last month in aid of local charities, and at a recent celebration evening they announced their grand totals.
Bar manager Steve Statham raised £930 for St John’s Pre School, Craig Barnaby, 42, raised £875 for Lantern’s Children Centre and Simon Williams, 24, £525 for Friends of Osbourne School.
Sasha Clements, 22, raised £620 for the special baby care unit at Royal Hampshire County Hospital, and Julie Pain, 51, £505 for her workplace, Triangles Pre-School.
Each jumper had to raise a minimum of £500.
