HAMPSHIRE and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance is looking to recruit 160 volunteers to help at this year’s BoomTown Fair near Winchester.

Volunteers will help for three shifts between Monday August 4 and Sunday August 10 at the Matterly estate.

They will scan the wristbands of festival goers entering and leaving the festival throughout their shift.

After each shift, they will be free to enjoy the festival  and will also receive access to camping in the staff area, discounted food, and entry into the festival.

HIoWAA says the work should be fun and stress-free in an exciting environment but will require responsibility, stamina and enthusiasm.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance will be receiving a donation from BoomTown Fair for each volunteer, which could potentially raise over £15,000.

John Perry, chief executive of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance said: “We are incredibly excited to be involved with BoomTown Fair 2014.  Having volunteers at the festival will be great exposure for our charity and an excellent way to reach out to a wider audience.  We hope to be able to gain some new valuable volunteers out of this event, who will continue to support our charity in the future too.”
