IT’s been billed as a sexy, witty and inventive take on a classic Gilbert and Sullivan’s work.

People in Winchester had a taste of the latest show to hit the Theatre Royal’s stage, HMS Pinafore, which has taken the west end by storm with its choreography, libretto and set staged below the deck on a World War Two ship.

The entire cast took to the streets to perform snippets of the master playwrights’ work, all in a bid to promote the show which is currently running until May 10.

The story explores the age old conundrum of love between social classes.
